The Board of the UNESCO National Commission has deliberated in favour of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene
Following a meeting of the UNESCO National Commission, whose task it is to deliberate on proposed candidacies for inscription in the World Heritage List, and having taken into consideration the judgments of the competent Ministries, the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are once again in line to enter into the list of World Heritage Sites.

We are now getting ready to face the last stage of the process , which began in 2008, for the hilly zone between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene to be recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Important news today from Bahrain: the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene are on the threshold of recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site
The UNESCO Commission’s discussion regarding the inscription of our site in the World Heritage List has just ended in Bahrain.  Even though the initial evaluation proposed by ICOMOS (a non-governmental, consultative body) was one to “NOT INSCRIBE”, the assembly expressed itself with a “REFERRAL” judgement, which calls for certain additions to our Dossier before it is reconsidered at the 2019 annual assembly in Baku.
