Curiosities
The hermitage of Sant’Alberto, located in the locality of Barbozza and reachable by one of the variants, is an ancient place of worship and pilgrimage dating back to 1488. It is characterized by the presence of a hermitage. Among the hermits who stayed there, the most famous was undoubtedly Frà Giuseppe Pilla, whose character must certainly not have been the most sociable since his plaque placed at the entrance of the church, which he himself sculpted, reads: “Do not seek to know my name the one who prepared the tomb for himself and for his successors H + A- Contempt and world and name”. The house of the hermits functioned until the 1950s when the last hermit, the “Néta”, passed away. Along the access road, just to the west, there is the Fontanèl di Sant’Alberto. Tradition has it that children were born in this source.
