The path
Description
From piazza Giovanni XXIII in the hamlet of San Pietro di Feletto, follow “Roncalli” street next to the Pope’s Monument to continue among the vineyards where you can see a hunting lodge. Went down the escarpment of the plateau of San Pietro di Feletto, you walk through woods and country roads to the location of “Borgo Antiga”, where you can choose the “100 Steps” variation. Through the provincial road, the ring closes again in the center of San Pietro di Feletto.
Curiosities
The “San Pietro di Feletto” Church is one of the most important religious buildings of the “Vittorio Veneto” diocese. It has been documented since 1124, but it is certainly older. It was the matrix of the “Santa Margherita in Refrontolo”, “Santa Maria in Feletto”, “San Dionigi in Collalbrigo” and “San Pancrazio in Formeniga” old parishes and others. It derived from them in a territory between the courses of streams “Lierza”, “Monticano” and “Crevada”. On the external facade there is a famous fresco, named “Sunday Christ”, a rare iconographic example used in ancient times as a warning against the violation of the festive rest.
